Terms of Hire
‘The client’ is the person or organisation making the booking.
All bookings will be agreed and notified in writing to the client. A 25% deposit will be required to confirm the booking; all deposits are non refundable. All outstanding balances are to be paid at least 4 weeks prior to the wedding / event.
The agreed route accepted at the time of booking cannot be changed without giving a minimum of 4 weeks notice. This would include pick up locations and final destinations.
Whilst we make every effort to collect our passengers on time, we cannot accept any liability if the passengers are delayed at the agreed collection point due to circumstances beyond our control.
At the time of booking, the client must advise us if there are any long hills, major roads or dual carriageways.
If a situation arises due to the illness or injury, we will endeavour to carry out the clients booking with a single horse, if the route is suitable for a single horse.
All children under 8 must be supervised by an adult. Strictly no smoking.
If the client cancels the booking after final payment has been made, the operator will try to rearrange a further date, subject to availability. The alternative date would be subject to an additional fee, for works already carried out.
The operators reserve the right to cancel any booking due to severe weather or any hazardous situations.
The welfare of our horses is our first consideration.
Although horses are generally well behaved, horses can be unpredictable and even potentially dangerous if they feel threatened or frightened. It is the clients’ responsibility to be aware of this fact and to inform anyone who comes into contact with the horses of this fact. Clients and passengers ride on the carriage and are around the horses at their own risk. The operator cannot be held liable for any bodily injury, property damage or death except where required to do so under the law. The operator is fully insured.
